Cozy sims for winding down at the end of the day
Not every session needs stakes. Some nights I just want to open something calm, poke at it, and put the phone down feeling lighter. That's what the cozy sim genre is for.
Greenhouse Keeper is my current go-to. No timers, no leaderboards, just plants that grow if you look after them. It rewards checking in without ever guilting you for going quiet.
What separates a good cozy sim from a boring one is that quiet decisions still matter. Where you place a plant, how you balance light — small choices with visible payoff keep the calm from tipping into nothing.
If your evenings feel like they need a decompression valve, this whole genre is underrated. Turn off notifications and let it be slow on purpose.
