About

Pocket Verdict started as a group chat where a few of us kept swapping screenshots of odd little games we'd found late at night. At some point the recommendations got too good to keep private, so we built a place to collect them.

We focus on independent and mid-size studios across every genre. If a game is clever, weird, or just quietly good, it belongs here — whether that's a racing game, a card battler, or a fishing sim.

How we pick: someone on the team plays a title for at least a few hours, we argue about it, and only then does it get written up. Nothing gets a review from the store description alone. If we bounce off a game, we say so.

We're a small crew and proud of it. No trend-chasing, no ten-thousand-word roundups nobody reads — just the stuff we'd text a friend about.

Lena Fischer — Lena has been reviewing mobile games for the better part of a decade and still keeps a spreadsheet of every title she's finished. She's convinced the best games rarely make the front page.
